Pan-O-Prog | Lakeville's Summer Festival

NEW DATES FOR 2020:  SEPTEMBER 25-27, 2020

June 29th, 2020

From the Pan O Prog Board of Directors:

As the rules for gatherings and crowds continue to evolve, we want to share an update to our April announcement regarding the decision to move Pan-O-Prog from our traditional July dates to the weekend of September 25 – 27, 2020.

Please keep in mind that along with the later dates for Pan-O-Prog 2020 will come some key differences from our usual festival:  school will be in session, there will be significantly less daylight for evening activities, and events will be condensed to three days.

We are hopeful that COVID-19 restrictions will continue to ease up so that we can bring the community together in 2020.  As we continue to plan, here are a few anticipated highlights:

  • Beer, Brats and Bingo hosted by the Lions will kick off our weekend on Friday.
  • Saturday will feature family-friendly activities on the grounds of Hasse Arena/McGuire Middle School and will include some of our traditional youth events.
  • Also on Saturday, there will be a Classic Car Fall Run, replacing the traditional Friday Cruise night and the Saturday downtown car show events.
  • The Fly-in Breakfast at Airlake Airport hosted by the Lakeville Lions will start Sunday’s festivities.
  • We will close out the weekend with a classic Pan-O-Prog Parade through Downtown Lakeville slated for Sunday afternoon.

Many more details will be communicated as the summer unfolds.  Stay tuned to the Pan-O-Prog Website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for updates as the festival draws near.

We look forward to organizing a full Pan-O-Prog schedule in 2021!  Thank you to our sponsors and our guests for your many years of continued support.

Update from the Pan-O-Prog Board of Directors

During these uncertain times with COVID-19 impacts, we want to update you on 2020 Panorama of Progress.

We are going to do our absolute best to bring our community together for Pan-O-Prog this year. However, given the ever changing situation, our plans are evolving with each day’s news. The health and welfare of the Lakeville community is our top priority and will guide our planning.

We plan to bring our community together for a scaled down festival on September 25, 26, and 27. We realize that many community activities may already be scheduled that weekend and will work our plans accordingly.

Pan-O-Prog is an independent, non-profit organization that is run by an all-volunteer board of directors and dozens of dedicated volunteers. We have a great partnership with the City of Lakeville to coordinate city services and support. Pan-O-Prog is funded exclusively by the generosity of our local business community. Those vital sponsors have consistently supported our festival in good times and bad for over 50 years.

Knowing the hardships that many businesses are facing during these times, the board has chosen to rescind our annual sponsorship solicitation. Funding this year will come from what we have in our reserve, and any voluntary donations/contributionsfrom businesses and individuals who choose to give.

We know that many people expect Pan-O-Prog to be held the week after July 4th every year. Hopefully, this will be the only time we need to push the dates out. Please bear with us as we work out the details to deliver the best festival we can for our community. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram and website for updates as we forge ahead.

Lakeville knows how to celebrate! Observing its 54th year, Lakeville’s PANORAMA OF PROGRESS continues with passion celebrating the growth and development of the community.

Just a gentle reminder. When parking on neighborhood streets this weekend please do not block any homeowners driveway. Thank you!
