Pancakes and jet fuel on Sunday morning, what could be better?  Bring your family and friends. The Lakeville Lions Club will be hosting their Annual Fly-In Breakfast at Airlake Airport on Sunday, July 9th from 7:30-11:00 a.m. This event attracts flyers from all over Minnesota and one from Wisconsin! This is one of those times when pilots will spend $100 on fuel just for breakfast!!

New Attraction for 2023 - CAF RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit 

The Rise Above exhibit to appear at the Lions Fly-In Breakfast on July 9th.  The Exhibit will be available for public viewing July 7 - 10 at Airlake Airport.  This exhibit includes a fully functional mobile movie theater which will feature a compelling original short film, RISE ABOVE, that tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the obstacles they overcame to be able to serve their country during WWII.  Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds. Admission to the exhibit is always FREE to event attendees.

The Lions have also confirmed, weather permitting, the appearance of the Minnesota Commemorative Air Force (CAF) “Warbirds”. The CAF will fly in the pride of the fleet, a WWII era North American B-25J bomber, "Miss Mitchell".

Paint the Plow 

The Metropolitain Airport Commission will be hosting a "Paint the Plow" event during the Breakfast where they will also have the airport's heavy equipment on display.

Details & Directions 

The event will be held at the South Side Super Hangar.  Located on the south side of the airport property, travel south on Cedar to 225th Street; west on 225th St. to Maynard Ln; follow Maynard Ln to parking area.

Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, ham links, Entenmann's pastries, milk, OJ, and coffee. Cost is $14 for adults and $8 for kids ages 5-12, with kids 4 and under free (1 free with each paid adult). There is free parking for this event. The pilot-in-command (PIC) of airplanes that fly in are provided a free breakfast.

Save  $$ and cut to the front of the line with advanced ticket purchase

Purchasing your tickets in advance saves you $2 per adult ticket and $1 per kid ticket.  Your advance purchase also moves you through the food line faster.  Last year, we had over 2,200 join us for this great event!  Advanced sales end at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday July 8, 2023.

• Advance Purchase: Adults $12, kids ages 5-12 $7, kids 4 and under free (1 with each paid adult)
• At the door (cash & credit):  Adults $14, kids ages 5-12 $8, kids 4 and under free (1 with each paid adult)
